"Before I got my new human parents, my human mommy had chosen my name to be Zach or Beau. When my human mommy and daddy adopted me in Missouri, mommy decided to let daddy and their granddaughter Lindsay choose my name, but they didn't like the names Zach or Beau. Mommy suggested many different names and when she said 'Cameron', they both liked it. So mommy let them name me Cameron and she picked Alexander for my middle name. Of course, with these choices, I must be a boy kitten. Mommy liked the nickname Cammy, which is more of a girls name, but I overheard her telling her friends that I wouldn't know any difference, so it's okay. When we got to my new home in Washington, Iowa, they started calling me 'Honey, Sweetie, Darling, Cutey, Angel, Baby, Muffin, Caterpillar - because of my fur, Buttons - because of my eyes, Fluffy, Mr. Wonderful, Handsome, Sweetheart, Peanut, and many more good names. They call me KITTY KITTY, when they want me to come quickly for food or a treat. They even sometimes, call me Cammy and when I've done something I shouldn't have, they call me CAMERON, and then mommy picks me up and says, 'no-no' and shakes her finger at me. Then I get a warm hug. She never gets mad at me. Even when I accidentally broke some of mommies special picture frames because I got my toenails caught in the doily they were setting on when I jumped up on the shelf they were on. Mommy jumped up when she heard glass break and fall down the stairs, but she just unhooked my toenails from the doily and shook her finger at me and said, 'No-No' and showed me the broken glass. The sound of crashing glass scared me. I think daddy thought mommy might really be upset so he helped me pick out a mother's day card with a kitty on it and the card played music. She loved that. We gave her a chocolate bar too. She gave me a kiss and a hug.
Today my daddy is so proud of me because yesterday I caught (and played with) two half-grown mice! I sniffed them out and showed daddy they were in the cold-air return register. Then mommy said she had to bathe me so she could kiss me again. Hmmmmm. I don't think girls like mice. I must be a BOY! Now daddy calls me HUNTER! He is so proud of me!!! Mommy now calls me her 'Big Boy' instead of 'Baby'. :-)
I overheard my mommy making an appointment for me to have some surgery. "Yeah --- I'm a boy".
I love my new parents, my new home, and my new human cousins Lindsay, Jadon and Keaton !"
