I took these pictures from my mom's house in North Iowa City and from the back yard of my house in South Johnson County. It was really neat to see how the storm clouds were building. My 5 year old daughter and 3 year old son stood outside with me, in awe at the way the clouds were moving and building, They thought it was neat to hear the thunder rumbling in the distance, Alas though once the tornado sirens sounded, we had to head inside. But it was still so cool to see the power of nature at work and to get to experience that with my children.
