The accident involved a 58 year old female who was the only person in the car. The airbags did deploy and the Jaws of Life were used to extricate her from the Mitsubishi Galant. She was complaining of rib and abdomen pain and was transported to the hospital by Waterloo Fire Rescue.
The accident was between the Broadway Street (George Wyth) entrance ramp and the Greenhill Exit on the first bridge which is over George Wyth's East Lake. (North of the Cedar River bridge)
