Accident on Mahaffey near North Liberty

At least two vehicles were involved in a crash tonight on Mahaffey Rd just going out of North Liberty. Traffic was backed up for at least 30 minutes while emergency crews were on the scene. At least one person was taking to the hospital by ambulance. The identity and condition of those involved is unknown at this time. Pictured is one of the vehicles involved in the crash. Several fire trucks were on scene with hoses pointed at the SUV in the picture. Also involved was a pickup truck with it's front end smashed.
