Marengo Brownies visit Safe Haven

Marengo Brownie Girl Scout Troop 1236 made a visit on Saturday, May 16 to Safe Haven of Iowa County Animal Shelter during the shelter’s open house. The Brownies donated supplies to Safe Haven along with a cash donation from their cookie sales profits. They spent time playing with the cats at the shelter and giving treats to the dogs. The Brownies would like to thank Rinthea Satterlee for her tour of the facilities and the coloring books, the volunteers who helped us during our visit, and Texas Roadhouse restaurant for the kids’ meals. What a neat story! So nice to see the kids contributing to a good cause and learning to give back to society. That must have made them feel very proud. Safe Haven is an amazing animal rescue group.
