MUSHROOMS !!!!!!

We found ALOT of these the last few days. We live outside of Belle Plaine,IA and we just love looking for these. The tallest mushroom we found was 8 1/2" tall. We had plenty and shared some with the other family member's.

Geessshhh... A little sarcasm there huh???? Morrelly said it correctly. My kids also were helping.....

Morels don't come back the next year via the roots. They propagate by spores. Taking them to the root could mean less morels this season but has nothing to do with next years crops. http://www.morelmania.com/510502.html

Good job pulling them out of the ground instead of cutting the stem. You wouldn't want those dam mushrooms to have a chance of coming back next year.
