why didn't every one move to higher ground already ,I relize there aren't that many apts since we lost a big portion of our affordable homes. now we are at the mercy of over inflated prices every thing has went up gas, food, insurance just kick us

You guys sure have a great imagination. Right now the ground is still frozen so the rainwater and melting snow has no where to go. Relax, we have a long way to go before downtown is under water again. Not in this lifetime!!

my dads boss just bought a new shop next to the river and his insureince adiviser said it will flood 5 more feet hihger then last year beacuse we got 7 more feet of snow then last year and thats what made us flood.

Im 13 and I Spent my summer down at Sutliff. Having to see the Bridge ever day of the Summer really made me Sad! Hope it doesnt flood again!

Its just the end of the winter flood people that happens every damm year, please just relax poeple, and to the media, quit blowing this out of proportion and getting the week minded ones all flustered. We chose to build in a river valley.

I have seen the rising waters and from what I see at this point, it is not going to flood as bad as it did last year. However, if the rain continues this pattern, the water could come precariously close to the spillway at the coralville reservoir.
