Gas Card Giveaway YouNews™ submitter, Greg Mein, recently scored a $50 gift card in the Gas Card Giveaway contest that ran on the website from January 20-30. The national contest encouraged new and previous YouNews submitters to log in and explore new features, including profiles, avatars and webisodes. visitors are invited to upload content to YouNews at any time ( where there are categories for News, Sports, Weather, Events, Pets/Animals, and other community related and seasonal channels. YouNews videos and photos are reviewed by station staff and may also be chosen for use during newscasts, promos or elsewhere on the air.

The YouNews™ Drive, Dribble and Dunk National Contest will run on from February 16 to March 16. Website visitors can upload videos and photos of high school basketball, including any early spring play-off and championship action. The submitters of the top three entries nationwide will each score a pair of top-of-the-line basketball shoes ($100 value). Plus the three high schools featured in the winning submissions will each receive $250 in basketball equipment.
