This afternoon as my co-workers and I ate lunch, we looked out the window of our office to see a little "elf" writting Merry Christmas in the snow on the top level of the 1st Street Parkade downtown Cedar Rapids. This parkade sits right on the Cedar River and was closed after the flooding this summer. What a wonderful Christmas wish to everyone working in the downtown area which was ravaged by the Cedar in June of this year. Thank you Christmas elf, whoever you are!

If a typo is all you took away from this - then shame on you. My spirit was renewed when I saw this on the roof top of that old parkade. (The place I used to park - before it was destroyed, along with my home) All is not lost - Merry Christmas....

Poor elf, after all his effort, three inches of snow lands on his sweet little Christmas greeting. My husband works downtown, and called to share this with me while he watched the elf at work through his office window. Thanks for the Christmas smile!

Sorry about the typo, they give you no way to correct it after you've submitted it and I was in a hurry!
