NTS-Why they stink
Hi, my name is Renee Wenzel and NTS has screwed me up so much, I lost count. The one that broke the straw happened Monday December 1, 2008. When it came time for my ride to be here, they didn't show up. At first I thought that they may be lost. I did move just a few weeks ago and they may be still finding their way. So I gave them till after 8 pm to show up which they never did. After I called them I found out that there were there- 20 minutes early and they left without a honk. They didn't even bother to get out and knock on the door or call me. I ended up missing a night of work and I was really needed there due to recent employee changes. This is not the first time that they screwed up. There were times when they never bothered to show up and when I called, they claim they never got it. Note to people: NEVER EVER LEAVE A MESSAGE N THEIR MACHIENE IN THE OFFICE SINCE THEY DON'T RESPOND TO THEIR MESSAGES ON THEIR MAIN LINE. I remember two times when I was at PCI when they screwed up. One week they showed up too late and the other week too early. They never bothered to tell me that I should of done it week by week. Aparently they can't schedule two weeks in advance. They told me after the second week about it. A little too late.Another time I called in and scheduled my ride. While I did it, mom was right next to me and heard everything. But when the day arrived they didn't show up and claimed that I didn't set it up. My mom was my witness to me calling and setting up the right so I know and my mom knows that they are just trying to cover up their tracks. There have been other times when they would show up too late. I even have seen other people get screwed. One time they showed up at 8:10 pm on a 9:00pm pickup. I heard of a time where they were an hour late. I also heard about a coworker of mine Arraf. They picked him up and dropped him off to work on Saturday too early and our boss (who had the night off) had to come and let him in. I have heard at least 2 coworkers threaten to quit if NTS would continue to screw with them. I am sick and tired of it. I am done with NTS. I will now ride a cab when my mom can't take me or pick me up from work. I depend on a ride so that I could work which will pay my bills and help me get the things that I need/want. Without my job, I wouldn't be able to afford a phone and a credit card. I would be stuck with thirty dollars a month in allowance money. Especailly in this day and age, thirty dollars a month won't get you very far at all.

NTS is an unreliable service. They make mistakes and try to claim that it is yours. Sure there may be times where it is the persons fault. But don't try to blame your driver's inability to honk the horn on the riders. If NTS screws enough people with enough times, they will lose their job(s). And I certainly don't want that to happen.They need to learn that even though there is no competition out there (other then the cab) that they don't have a right to treat their customers bad.. They need competition, they need to learn to be more reliable. Its sad that for one dollar, you get a more reliable ride then for five dollars. If I had my way, the city bus will have buses for the nights and Sundays (if they can find people willing to work Sundays) so that NTS can be stopped. I know that there are other people that is as sick and tired playing the NTS screw up game as I am.NTS needs to learn that just because we are handicaped, does not mean that we have feelings and that they can screw with us.

My advice for peope: Unless you can't afford it, take a cab when the buses arn't running. I take Century myself, but if you choose the Yellow cab, go for it. A cab is more relaible. They will honk, go to the door, and/or even call you if you don't show up (at least for Century, dunno if Yellow does the same but I think that they do). They won't leave you stranded. Heck the city bus is more reliable. In all of my years in the cabs and buses I have had a few issues with both, but they all had good reasons for them and was easily fixed. And note I said few. A lot less issues with the cab and the bus then I have with NTS.
