Fire at 1524 A Ave NE

This fire broke out at 1524 A Ave NE around 10 PM Monday November 17th 2009. When I first saw this fire the whole entire 2nd and 3rd floor was engulfed in flames. The sky was billowing with grey and white smoke. Our brave Cedar Rapids fire men were running into the house. Soon after they went in I saw them bringing out a man who was badly burned and unconscious. They quickly worked to recessitate him until the paramedics arrived and rushed him off to the hospital. The top 2 floors continued to burn out of control and the surrounding houses were evacuated. As far as I know there were no other injuries. They are still there putting out small hots spots at 10 to midnight.
