I am one of those people who fell through the cracks. I do not qualify for a FEMA home. I cannot find an affordable home. I asked the city for help yesterday and got no response. I didn't have time to hurry up and wait before this flood and sure don't have the patience to keep making phone call after phone call to get NOWHERE!
Many of my neighbors did not have thirteen hours to stand in line get funding from Red Cross only be told they weren't able to receive assistance that day only to be sent "home".

Now there are a lot of these people who have NO HOPE and they won't have enough money to rebuild either. And quite honestly many of them, like myself, are sick of trying. There is no hope? Where is the sense of community? Maybe the city officials should give up their homes to some of these people who have fallen through the cracks like myself so they can go live at my house! Or lack thereof.

The IRS is giving out money? Since when?! I lost everything too. I know that the city doesn't care about us. As a community volunteer I have been seriously let down by my community. If anyone is interested in protesting I am game.

I to a victum of the flood lost my whole life and my home the city don;t care what we have or don't have, as long as they get there money and have a place to lay there heads at night . but you can call irs they are giveing money god bless u all
