It doesn't matter what jay had going on with his health. Stuff happens , that's life. That does not mean you get behind the wheel and take someone else down with you. He will rott in hell for what he did.

Even if Jay did have medical problems that couldn't be helped how can you justify him driving carelessly and obviously in intent to take someone with him. I think it was a heartless act that affected the lives of too many, Jesup was saddened.

A good family has to suffer.......on both sides. It was a terrible tragedy that both families have to heal from. 5 Children are without their parents. Don't lay blame, lay groundwork for their healing.

If you could all have a little compassion for the children who tragically lost their father, that would be the American thing to do! Our hearts are with Carrie's family as well as Jay's (the van driver). His children will also suffer. Have a heart!

the man who caused the accident was my best friends dad. NONE of u who are talking bad even no what problems Jay had. He went through 8 heart surgeries then the drs told him he was going to die b/c there was nothing else they could so keep ur rude

Carrie left behind 3 boys -- 13,6,5 -- The 5 year old asked last nite when his mom was coming home -- a good family has to suffer because of someone's misconceptions of life --

I feel very sad about this-I am 37 years old and have 2 children. I just don't understand how someone could go north in a southbound lane...Our thoughts are with the families involved.

A person could do this if they under the the influence! They have been very very tired or have medical problems, mental problems, it is a sad sad ordeal

Um? says ... on Friday, Aug 15 at 5:44 AM

Honestly, medical condition or not, if this person was driving for some time THE WRONG WAY on a 4-lane, divided Hwy, how could they NOT KNOW they were going the wrong way? I just don't understand how anyone could not know.
