FOUND: Black Lab Found in IC w/ CR chip

“Fonzo” as we have named him, is a black lab mix estimated 7-10 years old. He was found west of Iowa City and brought to us on June 24th, 2008.

He has an Avid microchip but it is registered to Cedar Rapids Animal Control. It’s possible that his owners had him chipped and did not change the registration information to their own. His chip # is A108579590. Due to the flooding, Cedar Rapids Animal Control is not able to trace his chip #.

He’s a lovely dog, very sweet and knows “sit”. Before we put him up for adoption, we would like to post this picture and story, and we’re hoping his owners will come and reclaim him.

This is a wonderful dog-------he was named Jessie when he was at the CR Animal Shelter---sadly, we cannot remember anything about the family that adopted him----- he is most deserving of a loving home--no one has contacted us looking for him..
