two friends and i were on our way to Palo to see how far we could get. about 5 miles down the road there was a road closed sigh and we went around because we saw a friends house. the first picture shows how far the water was when we got there. the white SUV is at the drive way. and you can see how far the water is up the road. as we walked closer i was able to get the second shot of the strong current from the cedar river. we were able to get a lot, almost everything out of the house and moved to safty. but before we left to take a trailer load of things that were in the house i took the third picture. it a two hour time span the water was up to the drive way (thus the front of the truck) which was 25 - 30 yrds closer then what it was when we got there
