JOHNSON COUNTY - A group of unusual flood victims showed up on one Johnson County family farm. Now, the current caretakers are looking for their rightful owners.
About one dozen Jacob sheep were found wandering about this week. The family says they think the water forced them away from their home.
Nearby residents reported sighting the animals, saying some of them had three or four horns.
"We just thought it was a joke, and then we came out Wednesday to do our chores and my dad called us and told us they were actually out here," one family member told TV-9.
Breeders say that Jacob sheep can be mistaken for goats when seen at a distant; both males and females have horns. They can even have up to six of them.
If you know who owns these sheep or you are the owner, please contact the Eschens at 319-626-3176.
