In Ovation.. Now you're not.?

So back in late May, Jefferson High School had auditions for Ovation & West Side. When they came up with the Ovation and West Side lists, they realized that there was so many people that auditioned for Ovation, that they should be in a different group. So they made an all girls group called Encore. But they decided to cut it because they could'nt find anyone to choreograph or direct it. With the girls in the all girls group, the re-made the list for Ovation and put all the girls in Ovation. We were all SO happy to be in Ovation! But they actually got 24 girls hopes up for nothing. We recently got emails from the directors saying that the 24 girls that were put into Ovation are now going to be in a separate group but they are still going to call it Ovation. Regular Show Choirs get to go to so many competitons and for this little group they made up, we MIGHT get to do ONE competiton and basically only perform what we get taught at home concerts. But they also told us, if we wanted to go to more competitions that we would have to pay to go and just be in crew. I and many many others don't think this is very fair! They just got all our hopes up for nothing! What's the point in being in Show Choir if you don't compete and show off your talent!
