Ok, some cute actially came out of the ugly. We watched the flood waters move in and unfortunately we weren't lucky enough to avoid it, but at least we weren't the only ones dazed and confused about the situation, we had a bunny who had gotten trapped on our porch by the floods so we fed it some lettuce and there was this mallard duck that kept swimming up and down our street like he wasn't sure where to go. This was on 19th Ave. and 5 houses down from J st. Southwest. It just goes to show we weren't the only ones affected by the flood of 2008.

We have a friend that lives near 18th ave. on J St. found a bunny after wading through waters to her home. Found it on a piece of wood floating and was able to grab it. Walked it over to dry land and it got scared and jumped back into the water.
