Marion Mock Trial Team

Marion Wins 2013 Mock Trial Championship

Earlier this month, two teams from the Marion Home School Assistance Program qualified in regionals for the Iowa Mock Trial competition. The state competition was held this past week, where thirty-two teams from across the state battled it out in the court room, with one of the Marion teams making it into the final four on Wednesday. The Marion Blackhawks defeated Valley High School in the semifinals, and faced the second Valley High School team in the finals, emerging victorious on a split-ballot decision. The Blackhawks move on to represent Iowa in the national competition next month.
