Judging from the nubmer of barrels I saw floating down the river I wonder how many Boat Houses sunk? Does anyone have a count on how many survived and how many sank. Last summer I counted about 95 houses in the harbor.

A Boathouse is a House or Cabin that is attatched to a slip in the harbor. It does not move from it's spot, except in floods as we now know..trying to keep up humor. A house boat can go out and move up or down the river or lake.

What's the difference between a boathouse and a houseboat. Isn't a boathouse something you keeb a boat in and a houseboat is a floating house?

There was a plan to save the boathouses but the city wouldn't let us, even with professional equipment and trained/certified personnel. What a shame!!! You can see how many have been lost from the first pics to the latest ones.

What a mess to clean up after all the houses, including mine, go under the bridge and over the dam. Too bad they couldnt have secured them to the bridge.

Hopefully there is a plan to capture these things downstream
