FOUND: German Shepard mix?

I live in Central City, IA and this morning I discovered this dog in my yard, It had no collar, but looks as though it may have had one and just got loose from it. It is a German Shepard mix, male, Black with brown briddle spots. He is probably 2 yrs old. He is very well mannered and seems to be some-what kennel trained. He seems as though he has traveled quite a ways because he was pretty skinny and very hungry, but other than that he doesn't seem to have any other problmes. If he does belong to someone in the Cedar Rapids area that had to evacuate their home please know that your pet has a good place to stay until you are able to return home. I can be contacted at 319-213-3574 for more information or if the owner is found. I did also contact the Shelter at Kirkwood and filed a report.

I think I remember someone had posted a lost dog with brindle markings in the Gazette a few weeks ago. That could be why he is so skinny. The description sounds familiar. I may try and dig up the post for you. Thanks for caring!
