The floods of 2008 is just unbelievable.Its just jaw dropping to see all the damage personally.I have lived in Iowa almost my entire life and this is not the first floods Ive been affected by.But the Flood of 1993 was nothing like this Flood of 2008.Events like this brings out the friendly,helpful&caring nature of Iowan's.Downtown and the surrounding neighborhoods will never be the same,but it a good way.We have all come together to help out our fellow neighbors.I am truly proud to say I am from Iowa!I was happy to finally see the river crest yesterday.Its amazing it crested at 32ft.This is something all of the people of Cedar Rapids will never forget.I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped and to say that you all have my appreciation!
