Comet Pan-STARRS

Comet Pan-STARRS

3/21/13 The sky was clear last night giving another opportunity to observe Comet Pan-STARRS. It is receding from the sun but it’s higher in the sky after the sun goes down making it supposedly easier to see. It took me about 20 minutes of searching before I found it last night. It’s about 2 extended arm hand widths to the right of due West and about 1 hand width up from the horizon. I have not seen it except through the camera. These are looking west towards Palo. The Duane Arnold Energy Center is to the right in the 2 shot panoramic.
