Serious Flooding occured on Lewis Access Road during the flood of 2008. Major damage occured for approximately a half mile starting just past the bridge that crosses the Cedar River west of Center Point. Water began covering the road Wednesday afternoon. As the water rose the power of the river began to take its toll. When these photos were taken Saturday evening the bulk of the damage had been done. The flood waters had dropped approximately five feet from their crest by Saturday night.
