Flood of 2008 Slideshow

A slideshow of photos that I have collected before the crest of the Cedar River. Most of the photos taken on June 11th before the massive evacuation of downtown Cedar Rapids. Also a few photos of the Indian Creek flooding around the Lininger Park/Boysen Park area. Movie created June 13, 2008.

Being in Phoenix makes it hard to understand some of the weather parts of the country have to put up with.My husband is from CR and we were married at St. Pauls in September of last year. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

i know what mean we have family there as well. we came there to visit them on wed. couldn't get into cr that well with a baby and had to leave on friday in order to make it to IL! I am going back as so as it goes down to help clean up!

Thanks for the pictures. We live in Florida and have been calling family and friends in CR to check on them. It makes our hearts go out to everyone there. We lived in CR during the flood of 93, that was nothing to what is there now. Keep posting.
