This is the city of *Walford*. Walford doesn't have a river or big creek running through it, so it floods very little, if at all. This was Wednesday, June 12, 2008. The ditches (as seen in pictures) were so saturated with water that it wasn't taking any water in the ground, so it couldn't flow as smoothly, which caused water to slow down and back up. Walford is also downhill from a fairly large farm field, and the field is just a hill; Walford is also on a hill, causing rain to flow to a central location. This means that the water goes to one or two central locations. Places most effected: west side of 4th Street and also east and west side of 5th Street. Now, this flooding doesn't even compare to Cedar Rapids and Iowa City, but for Walford, it's not normal.
