I took these photos last night between 2am and 3am of the operations to keep Cascade dry. All of the levee watching and pumping was monitored by city workers and members of the volunteer fire department. The pictures titled “beacon” and “island” are of a municipal structure. From the viewpoint of the photo, the river is supposed to be on the other side of the structure by at least a hundred feet.

It appears that River View Rd is experiencing some significant flooding. My parents have a home not far down the road. If anyone can show images of that area, I would appreciate it. garysfl@gmail.com (formerly of Cascade IOWA)
