Legislation cleared the Iowa House today

The Iowa House passed HF 535 by 95 to 3 opposed. The passage is an important step in protecting citizens from illegal disclosure by the media, that was a violation of our right to privacy. Until now the media routinely listed names of CCW permit holders in local newspapers. There was no legal justification for this listing that potentially villified law abiding permit holders, and opened them up to criminal activities by those that regularly violate our laws! HF535 passed the Iowa House on March 18th with a nearly unanimous vote for the new law.
