The small community of Graf has seen it's share of floods in the past, but this one may be a record breaker. One of Graf's oldest citizens say this is the worst flood she has seen in the 60 years she has lived in the small town just north of Peosta and 20 miles west of Dubuque. Usually just a quiet town along the Heritage Trail, today was transformed to a town trying to fight back the raging waters of the Little Maquoketa river as it spills over it's banks. The Trail itself was engulfed in the raging waters for a time being, leaving residents just on the other side of the street wondering how high the water was actually going to climb towards their houses. The town's only manhole was looked like a little whirlpool compared to the raging waters that was trying to go down it. With severe storms forecasted for this evening, The people of Graf are left to wonder how much higher the river can really get.
