The Central City Fire Department has been working around the clock for several days to save their town! Thousands of sandbags have been placed around homes and businesses along the Wapsipinicon River in Central City. The river level has reached the railroad bridge in CC, causing water to back up even more in town. CCFD, along with many volunteers, continue filling sandbags and taking them to those citizens that need them. Many of those sandbags that were placed earlier in the week are now under water with the massive flooding. The river continues to rise, and the CCFD continues their efforts throughout the night!
