The flood of 2008 has impacted Eastern Iowa with a devastating blow. In years past, Anamosa has been hit pretty hard and the people there have learned from the experience and developed plans and procedures in place to protect the city in the case of that. It may be a 500 year flood but this can be remedied by following the lead of Anamosa by being pro-active to protect your community.
