Some members of the West Bertram Fire Dept have been sand baggin for 3 solid days now to help save their neighbors property. Some people might think nothing of this. But when you realize that these fire fighers are volunteers that puts a different spin on it. My husband and I lived in one of the very houses that they are working to save back in 1993, so instead of working today, by husband and son went to join ranks with them and many of the West Bertram community. Most of the people that were working filling the sand bags were in no danger of flooding themselves, working for hours and only eager to help a neighbor out. Now, doesn't that make you feel good?
