I have just seen the picture of the golf course flood and am speechless. I am originally from C.R. and although I have not been back since the early 90's my prayers are with those affected by the flood and still continue to be.

The water hasnt reached the palo power plant all evacuations in that area were strictly due to the flooding issues. The water has a good mile to go before it reaches the power plant if it even does. They are taking precautions still.

What happens to the water cooling pond at the nuclear power plant in Palo? Is it radio-active? Is that radiation in the flood waters here in CR?

My brother called with alert of flooding, all are in prayer. Keep the site up if you can..the info is invaluable..I recall working relief with the Red Cross Food vans in the 70's.

Used to be Kings concrete would dredge sand out of the Cedar River. This seems that it would benefit the entire city of Cedar Rapids. The City of CR subsequently requested that Kings concrete should PAY for the sand it removed
