These are images of the river swelling around Mays Island on 6/10/2008 around 8:00pm. Onlookers watch as the river flooding slowly tries to overtake the island.

It makes me want to cry -- we are in Texas now, high and dry and this is just so sad. 1993 was not that long ago, but this is all over the national news because it is worse. Our thoughts are with all our loved ones in CR. Great photos/sad subject.
