This is a picture from my backyard of Otter Creek as it runs through Alice. (West of Center Point) My family has lived in this area for over 5 generations, and it's never quite been this high before. As you can see, it has overflown it's banks and has created a lake in my neighbor's yard. This creek runs through a lot of farmland that is now underwater and it's looking bleak for those farmers in the proximity of the creek's flooding...This picture was taken BEFORE all the heavy rain Center Point and surrounding areas got this past evening, so it is much worse now.
