I agree that we would like to know more about what is going on in Iowa City. I understand Cedar Rapids has more than a grave situation, but I would like to know what is going on with the flooding in Iowa City please.

I think that we should be looking at what this nation of glutnutous people have done to promote this much water. Our farmers have dozed in any and all ditches and woods to get that extra bushel of corn then tiled so that the run off will attack us al

Boaters or businesses, residential neighborhoods, and a public university? I’d rather have a fully functional economic base known as the U of I than water ski for a third of the year.

Fact: The water level on the north side of the dam is to make sure boaters don't rub mud and rec areas stay enjoyable. You can't control the weather but the USACE needs to be letting out a larger and more reasonable flow all year round.

yeah, they have done a pretty good job at keeping the water under control. Either way, the water is going to end up flooding no matter how much water they release. They can only do so much

they have been letting high levels of water out of the dam for more than a month. you must be one of those high paid consultants to come up with an idea like, "let more water out". Impressive.

please then apply your blatant genious by joining the corps and doing a better job yourself! I have no patience for arm-chair quarterbacks. Put up or shut up.

Boy, Miss Management, I'll bet they never thought of that one! You should call the Corps and talk to one of their professional hydrologists and float that stunningly perceptive idea.

i think this could have been avoided if the people in charge of the dam had not wasited until the last minute to release water. If they had started earlier they water could have been released at a slower rate over a longer period of time.
