Last night's storm in Cedar Rapids

This was taken by video camera shortly after the Cedar Rapids tornado warning was issued. I was watching the lighting in the living room and this is what I caught. One bolt of lightning came very close to my window and took a purple appearance. You can even hear some thunder but there are several good lightning bolts that come into view. It basically looked like the 4th of July fireworks. Very cool. It is one storm I'll never forget.

it's not that I wasnt watching it, I have direct tv and my signal was knocked out by the storm. It was several hours later that my signal returned. Otherwise I'd of been watching! If I'd of had signal I would have been watching!

Interesting that you were NOT watching KCRG on your TV that night ... as obviously heard in the video.
