Last year we had a Mother fox and her litter living almost right in our yard. They were so entertaining, we started leaving eggs & other snacks out for them. I guess one of them remember all the good food they had here, so they decided to have their family here too.

Feeding wildlife is a bad idea for several reasons. It teaches wildlife not to fear humans, causing conflicts in the long run (death by cars, disease transmission). You would be wise to think about the example you are setting for your children.
