Hawkeye Material Handling is looking for a family that can really use some extra help this holiday season. They are looking for anyone whom knows of a family in need, to nominate them.

"Christmas is quickly approaching. It is a time of joy, a time to be with family members. This year, however, is not going to be the same for some families. A spouse may have had their work situation change; an unexpected financial hit took place, health condition changed, or worse a death in the family. These families may feel helpless, lost, and unsure if they can provide for their family the way that they would like. These are families that you know, and you may wish you could do more to help.
This year Hawkeye Material Handling wants to sponsor a family in need. We want you to help us find a family who really needs a hand up this Christmas season. E-mail us, tell us about the family you would like us to sponsor. If we choose a family that you nominate, you will also receive a gift card. It’s our way to give back to our community.
E-mail your nominations to mhootman@hawkmat.com. At this time only mention families’ first name. Tell us about them and why you are nominating them. Make sure we have your e-mail address, or a way that we can contact you if your nomination is selected.
Families nominated are to live in Cedar Rapids, or the surrounding area. We would like to keep this at a local level. Deadline is October 31st.
