Mercy Hospital switches companys

Mercy hospital takes jobs away from locally owed businesses and switches to one from out of state. Leaving some people without jobs here in Cedar Rapids. Businesses like Five Star delivery and Per Mar. Mercy hospital switched couriers starting Monday to a company that come from Connecticut. We need to keep small businesses going here in Cedar Rapids.

Not to mention that all the people contracting for that Connecticut company are all living and based in Cedar Rapids. So the way i see it is if they are able to save our local Hospital money and increase thier service to us it is all good.

Did you also write a post on how many jobs they created by moving to Epic? Last I knew nearly 100 in IT alone? Those were all local jobs. How about construction workers? Probably best to look at the big picture.
