My names Michelle Fountain and I'm a sophomore at Jefferson High School. The Cedar River has always been pretty high and this winter with all the ice melting isn't helping with the rising of the water at all. From my back yard I could see the river over by Quaker Oats where all the ice has rose up and over part of Ellis Road. The park down by edgewood is completely flooded. I took a few pictures of some of the stop signs and some of the remains of what you can see the tips of.
