Because the night/early morning sky of August 10/11 in Cedar Rapids was clear and the forecast for the next night/early morning was cloudy with coming rain, I took the opportunity to capture this meteor streak in the NE sky looking over our back roof, one day early from the Perseids meteor shower peak. Photo was taken at 2:20 AM, Saturday, August 11, 2012.
