The first image shows mammatus clouds reflected by the sun about 8:20 PM, Wednesday, August 8, 2012--5 minutes after sunset--as seen from Bowman Woods Park in Cedar Rapids. The rainbow image is seen in the east sky around 8:15 PM from Brentwood Drive NE as is the image of the passing shelf cloud shot earlier around 6:53 PM.
