My wife and I were leaving Ames today (8/8/2012) as a storm front moved in. The winds started switching direction and the sky suddenly darkened. To me, it looked like the cloud was reaching for the farmstead as we hustled back to Anamosa. I thought the bean and corn fields, the barn, the wind generators, and the approaching cloud made for an interesting picture.
