Around the same time the Aurora Borealis was dazzling the northern horizon in the early morning hours of Sunday, July 15, 2012, the Moon, Jupiter (top) and Venus were all jumbled together in the east sky. These photos show the trio around 3:45 AM as seen from 1st Street NW, looking across the Cedar River toward Quaker Oats.
