The Cedar Rapids Czech School Students went on a field trip to Sykora Bakery in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They were informed how the old world delightful Kolaches are made by owner, John Rocarek. He also shared the history of the bakery, and a treat with them.

My children attend the Czech school. It has been a wonderful program to learn the Czech traditions, language, history, and make new friends. This field trip was wonderful with many thanks to Mr. Rocarek. The bakery was a highlight to Czech School!
