This storm woke us up out of our sleep at 3:42 am. We my husband and I woke up to what sounded like a freight train going through our yard. It totaled my tracker, damaged my car, broke windows in the house, tore most of our shingles off, toppled a few trees, ripped the siding off of the back side of our house. Quite the mess we have to deal with this morning. Scared the living daylight out of us. We ran downstairs and rode it out. I was fairly quick. I would say it was over in about 10 - 15 minutes and it was all over. This was an experience I will never forget.

We are 13 miles West of Cedar Rapids and were told it was quite windy here during the night but we didn't hear it. Scary to think I could sleep through something. Glad you are OK.

We live 4 1/2 miles east of conroy and we have lots of trees down. The branches hit the house, but did not go through.
