My family is all from Cedar Rapids and my brother, a professional comedian, has written a funny song about Westdale Mall to raise money for a holiday shopping spree.
-------------------------------
The song can be played via the following link: http://tomsharpe.bandcamp.com/track/westdale-mall . Artist’s statement: “Anyone who lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, knows that Westdale Mall has been struggling, with many of its stores closing down and business decreasing. I knew it needed a theme song to remind people of its former glory. You can download this for two dollars. Any money raised will be used for a Tom Sharpe holiday shopping spree at Westdale Mall. If you like terrible ideas or neo-irony so deep that it sounds like it might just be a corny rap song instead, we're in business.”
