WWII veteran, Second Battalion of 75th Division, fought across Belgium, into the Black Forest, Wounded in the Battle of the Bulge, Christmas 1944. Received two purple hearts. Discharged April 1, 1946. At 86 Cal can still wear his uniform(buttoned) at Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies.
