Baby Gold Finch Survives Meeting Window

Sitting at the table eating breakfast a baby goldfinch tried to join us. Instead it got knocked out for a bit.. After a photo session we put it on our patio here at Deer Ridge at Meth Wick . After about 20 minutes it regained senses and flew into the tree. At the time I picked it up , it's parents and other birds came to protect it.

Finches are among my favorite birds here in Indiana. We spent some time on that patio in Cedar Rapids this past weekend and think the baby girl finch was in very good hands. I'd try to get in to share breakfast with Ted and MaryLe, too! Wonderful.
